 Learn About Eco Fuel

There used to be little to no concern whatsoever when it came to filling up your car with fuel. As long as it was cheap and kept your car going, there was nothing to worry about. But with increased research, it has been found that regular fuel does a lot of damage to the environment. With this finding, research and development has come up with eco fuel.

Eco systems create the fuel that you use to save the atmosphere from toxic and harmful emissions. With the creation of eco fuel, there is a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 10% and there is a lower carbon build up in your engine. The way eco systems enhance the fuel is by increasing the REID vapor pressure.

It is a complex process, but this is achieved by the fuel passing through a series of copper screens that are built in to the device. These copper screens act as a catalyst for the fuel and the result is a hotter and cleaner burning fuel with less emissions. Thus, it improves the fuel economy and decreases the amount of carbon in the engine.

To many people’s surprise, there is a wide array of eco fuel choices to select from. What used to be just petrol and diesel engines has now evolved into a much broader industry. You can now choose from direct-injection petrol, common-rail diesel, fuel cell, full electric, hybrid and much more. A recent study rated the top 10 rated eco fuels available.

The top five included fuel cell, biofuels, full electric, modern diesel, and hybrid. Fuel cell is an electrochemical cell that the energy of a reaction between a fuel and an oxidant converts into electrical energy to power an electrical motor. This process is slow in the making, but Honda and GM are some of the makers of this fuel.

Biofuels is a renewable energy source made from many different sources including crops, plants, and plant waste. They absorb CO2 as they grow, which offsets most of the CO2 emitted when used with internal combustion engines. The third most efficient eco fuel at 68% is full electric. This is simply an electric motor that is powered by a battery that must be plugged in to recharge. The benefits of this are that there is 0% CO2 emissions from the tailpipe and no local air pollutants.

Rounding out the top two most efficient eco fuels are modern diesel at 68% and hybrid at 72%. Modern diesel has lower CO2 and higher mpg than other kinds of eco fuel. It tends to have a longer range than other commercially available fuel. As for hybrid, it is an electric motor that is either part-powers or permanently assists a small petrol engine allowing it to go further on a tank of conventional fuel.

Our society has come a long way since the beginning of cars and fuel being used for them. But there are still many strides that need to be taken. With constant research and development, soon you will have a number of eco fuel choices to select from.
