If you are fortunate enough to have a garden, then at some point you will need to do some digging, here's a few tips on how to dig your garden correctly.

1. Dig with a straight edged spade

2. Don't dig when the soil is wet, wait until it dies out enough to crumple in your hand

3. If the soil is hard and dry, water enough to moisten the earth before you start digging

4. Your spade4 should slide into the grounf nice and easily

5. When digging avoid turning over completely the soil, instead turn in a 90 degree angle
