Repair A Tiled Roof PDF Print E-mail

Before attempting to climb up on to any roof, ensure you have safe ladders and never rest ladders against pipework, as the pipework can break under the weight. Make sure there is someone with you at all times to hold the ladders. Place any tools you are taking up with you, either in a tool belt or placed securely about your person.

To repair a cracked or broken tile or even a badly fitted one, use a bitumen compound.
This can be pressed in with a putty knife. The bitumen will not set hard and therefore allow for a little movement.
