Handmade rugs offer originality to any room, together with the added therapeutic benefit making one can give you. Here as requested by Evelyn **** is the basic stitch you will need to know to start creating a beautiful hand-made rig.

A).Take one piece of wool and fold it into two, by placing the two ends together to make a loop. keep hold of this piece of wool and hold it together with the base mesh.

B). Place the needle hook through the first hole on the base mesh and then push it up through the next hole. Using the needle hook pull the looped wool through the two holes approximately 1/2” keep hold of the two end strands of wool.

C). Now carefully using the hook, place the hook through the looped wool and gather together the two strands of wool. Pull the needle back through the loop, with the two strands of wool hooked inside the needle.

D). Continue to pull until the 2 strands of wool are completely through the loop. Remove the needle and give a firm tug on the two strands of wool using your fingers to set the knot.

E). Continue, until the rug is completely full, remembering to pull tight after each piece of wool has been inserted
